Sep 14, 2016 10:38 PM in response to jessmay21by timns2000,★HelpfulSame here. Just bought an iPod touch 6 with ios 9, sounded perfect, then updated to ios 10 and it sounded really ******. No matter what headphones I used. When you buy an ipod for 250 bucks you expect some good *** sound quality, but no, I just wasted money on nothing. I just don't feel like listening to music with crap like this. Downgrading to ios 9.

Sep 14, 2016 10:44 PM in response to jessmay21by jessmay21,thank you for your responses least im not the only one going mad after doing some fiddling last night i have found if you go in settings > music > then go to EQ ( i used to have this setting on small speakers which was fine in ios 9) try changing it to Late Night that seems to restore it to a managable quality

Sep 15, 2016 12:49 AM in response to jessmay21by vvvsuresh,I also feel the same way. Updated iphone6 to ios10 and the sound quality is awesome. Previously i could listen continuously for hours altogether. After ios10 update after hearing 10min, got headache.
Apple, request you to please fix this or suggest a setting which need to be changed.

Sep 21, 2016 3:11 PM in response to jessmay21by AndyB83,Definitely agree with you on this.
since updating to iOS 10 on my iPhone SE the volume and sound quality have been significantly reduced.
Through headphones and Bluetooth it now sounds awful no matter what settings I try.
I Tried re-pairing the Bluetooth and re-loading all the music files but is still as bad.
It was perfect before the update so why have they changed it!
I hope enough people complain so they sort this out soon.

Sep 26, 2016 5:05 AM in response to jessmay21by MikeCripe,I absolutely agree. I am using an iPhone 6 plus. The sound was great before this update. Now the best word to describe it is anemic. I'm audiophile type and use very high grade headphones. Now matter what I do with the EQ the sound is lackluster. Please, Apple, please please please fix this... You've ruined one of my favorite things

Sep 28, 2016 3:40 AM in response to jessmay21by AndyB83,Anyone else tried the update to 10.0.2?
I tried it but it still sounds like listening to music underwater. So Apple still haven't realised their mistake, where anyone that updates to iOS 10 is inadvertently turning their expensive, modern music player into a cheap cassette player from the 90's.
I thought sound quality was supposed to improve, this is clearly a step backwards.
To prove my point I tested it on my iPad, still on IOS 9, same music files, same settings, etc, it always sounded the same as my iPhone as I swap between them regularly.
I tried it in my car and the difference was noticeable immediately, it was louder, clearer and back to the quality I had become used to. Same through my headphones.
Apple need to sort this soon or they may find people who value their music looking elsewhere.
I look forward to 10.0.3.

Oct 1, 2016 9:45 PM in response to AndyB83by quaddy239,Agree totally. SQ has definitely deteriorated compared with 9.3.5.
Is ther an easy way to revert to 9.3.5?

Oct 2, 2016 4:49 PM in response to quaddy239by quaddy239,Managed to roll back to 10.0.1.
I think the SQ is back.

Oct 3, 2016 2:02 AM in response to jessmay21by Spanjard,after updating to ios 10 from 9.3.2
Iphone 5S Gold 32gb same issues. My wife and myself updated both iphone's.
Airplay quality has no high and lots of bass and volume is low. Bluetooth has lots of bass no high and very poor sound quality.
We are very unhappy about this Apple!
