The trouble is that I go to settings, general, and then to software update, and my phone keeps telling me that even though I have iOS 9.3.5, my phone is up-to-date. That's my proble. That's why I asked if IOS 10 is already available in New Zealand

Hey Latin heart,

It sounds like the iPhone is not showing an update available. Another thing you can do to update the iPhone is to try using iTunes on the computer.
If you can’t update wirelessly on your iOS device, you can update manually using iTunes on a computer that you trust.
