Black screen but I can see the menu bar?

Hi guys,

I've got a Mac book Pro (2014/15 I think, Model A1502). Last night I left it on and then in the morning after plugging it in to power, I turned it on to see only a black screen with glitchy lines running through it. The strange thing is that I can see the menu bar at the top of the screen, which would suggest to me that my hard-drive is fine but that there is something physically wrong with my screen. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and if so is it something that can be fixed?! See picture attached.User uploaded file

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
