Incoming calls shows United States instead of city and state
IiPhone 6plus, IOS 10. Incoming calls from unknown caller shows United States instead of city/state. How can I fix this. Thanks

Yep, check Settings as above.
Also if you have the Settings > Phone > Dial Assist feature, turn it "On".
I have the same thing after ios 10 update, what I noticed is when someone calls me from landline it shows city and state, but when from cell phone it shows united states. Maybe its better this way since now you know where they calling you from cell phone or landline.
I don't like it. By showing the location, it usually can alert you to automated & scam type calls. You know that it is highly unlikely you'll be getting a legitimate call from hundreds or thousands of miles away. This way you have no clue. Bad move in my opinion.
SSorry, I wasn't clear.
Before IOS 10 update if I got a call from someone not in my contact it would show city/state call was coming from, like Chicago, IL. Now it just says United States

Given that scammers generally spoof the numbers, it really doesn't help that much.
Settings > General > Language & Region > Region = "United States" ... assuming that is where you are.
