If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
make sure MMS is turned on in message settings.
IF the link provided doesn't help then you need to contact your cell phone provider as MMS is a carrier feature.
The link is not helpful. I have been able to MMS text with non iOS devices until I upgraded to iOS 10.1. Not sure how the tag line "IF the link provided doesn't help then you need to contact your cell phone provider as MMS is a carrier feature." applies since I upgraded an Apple product/software.
It is aweful that we all had courage, but have been failed.
Two weeks later and there is still no fix. 😟
Hey! You wouldn't happen to be on an unlocked phone, would you? I happened to upgrade to 10.1 today on my unlocked phone, and MMS stopped working. I stopped by a help page for my carrier's settings to validate everything, and noticed that the MMSC field in the Cellular Data Network config menu had been cleared, causing MMS to no longer function.
Open Settings >> Cellular >> Cellular Data Options >> Cellular Data Network
Make sure the MMSC field is populated appropriately. Mine got cleared after the update.
Apple, please investigate why this might have happened.
