Need to remove iCloud account but have a bit of an issue

When I first got an iPhone I used an old fake email account for my apple ID since I didn't want to receive hordes of emails, using this email was fine as I never messed up while using it until around last year. Last year I messed up multiple times entering my password and proceeded to get locked out of my account, I can't reactive the account as I don't have access to the email or the security questions for my old apple account. However now I'm stuck with the old account on my phone and it constantly asking me to enter the password for the old ID and when I do I'm then asked to unlock my account which I cannot do. Is there perhaps a way for me to force remove the account associated with the apple ID?

iOS 10

you can but if you had the "find my phone" feature on then you won't be able to add another apple id to it until you can turn that feature off which requires the password to that apple id you currently have.

Go to the email site and try the "forgot my password" feature and get your email back.

If you used an email that didn't exist for your apple id i hardly believe that because you would need to verify that email, at least I did.

Good luck
