Titles do not update

When I place a title on the timeline in Final Cut Pro X and then I make a change to that title, say making the font bigger, it does not play with the change. If I then grab the title and move it a little bit on the timeline, it updates correctly and plays. This happens a lot. I have tried using the menu "render selected" but it does not fix it. In any case, why are my titles not updating when I adjust them? It's not just changing the size, it could be the colour or anything.
