Prior to the iOS 10 update not only could you view the tracks coming "up next" but you could also look back in time at tracks played previously to the currently playing track. Has anyone figured out how to do that yet with this new update?

Thanks for your advice. But i want back a native list of the last played song, because:
The smart playlist does not contain music played via "Radio" Function.
Its a compromise but its no substitute for a native list implemented direct in the App.
Second i am missing:
In previous versions i could "like" a song in the lock screen. And i saw the heart symbol.
Both features are gone. When listening to Radio/Playlists i never know: Did i allready "liked" this Track?
And i cant quickly like a new song from the lock screen (this is a feature i often used).
Its a pity what Apple did with these updates. They destroy all these little things we music addicted user like....

music addicts love those little niceties that enhance the whole experience and get you hooked on a service; it's the little things that make a world of a difference;
if you love music, you get it; if you don't, well, chances are you can ruin the whole thing and still don't know what we're talking about;

Please bring this back... I still don't understand how this is not a big deal!!.... I mean, I can not access to my music played previously, specially if I'm listening to radio... Bring it back and stop this madness.
If you go to the iTunes App and click the 3 bars at the top. There is suppose to be a radio station tab with the wishlist, Siri, and previews tab. That is where you suppose to see history of songs played from the radio.
I really miss not being able to easily slide backwards to see recently played songs. I used this feature all the time when it existed, and not having it available in iOS 10 and iOS 11 makes me want to ditch Apple’s music player as my primary player. Apple would you please bring this feature back? I miss it!!!

If you go to the 'For You' page, there is a 'Recently Played' section there.
Lets say you're listening to a playlist or radio station and you heard a song you really liked but were too busy to "love" it at the time or even check out who it was by or what it was called. There's now no way to go back and see what songs were played previous to the currently playing one. Like you said if one goes to the "For You" section and look at recently played it only displays recently played albums. Useless if you're listening to a playlist. In the previous version you could swipe one direction to see up next and swipe the opposite direction to see previously played tracks. THIS is the feature I miss!
You are right. I did not notice it was only showing the album and not the song. I agree, this is a feature they need to bring back.
Unbelievable how this has been removed. Really 😠 about it.

This is just one of many stupid design/functionality changes that have come with the music app in iOS 10
If you go to to text there is a box with an arrow. click the arrow , app store button , swipe to the left and youll see recentl played. 🙂
