Q: Offline music -only- not possible to show in my car with iOS 10

Hi,

 

With iOS 10 and the new Music-App there is a problem in showing only the offline available music in my car's stereo.

 

On the iPhone I can now easily show only offline music from my match-libary by only switching to "Geladene Musik" (german). Excellent.

New problem: my BMW (not using carplay) shows me all 10.000+ songs available instead of the ones (~1.400) that are only offline available.

 

Something changed with iOS 10 that worked in earlier versions and it has to do with the missing switch "show only offline music" that was available until iOS 9.

 

Has anyone a workaround or correct setting for me?

    Same for Audi MMI Entertainment System.

     

    Seams that in older iOS the iPhone Music Mediathek only contained local stored music after choosing "downloaded only" - but now the Music Mediathek will remain complete - offline and online music - and so all not downloaded songs are dead links.

    I hope many of the 100.000s of people affected by this problem tell that Apple and they will fix that.

    I have the same issue with IOS 10 (Acura TSX).   With the change to the show downloaded music options in the music app I now plug the phone into my car via Lighting cable and it shows the entire iTunes library on my car display instead of just downloaded songs.   This was not an issue before IOS 10 and no settings changes have been able to get it back to showing only downloaded items on the car display.
