- Connect your iPhone to your computer via iTunes.
- Wait about 30 seconds to allow iTunes reading your device.
- Click Update on your computer when prompted that, "There is a problem with the [device] that requires it to be updated or restored."
- Click Update again on your computer when prompted that, "If your [device] can't be updated, you will need to restore it to its factory settings."
- Click Restore if you see "Your iPad can't be updated..." (you won't necessarily have to restore).
- Click Restore and Update to confirm that you want to restore your device to its factory settings.

Sep 14, 2016 11:25 PM in response to Ella Fitzgeraldby melikasartoveh,Thank you for your time but still I have done all that. i don't know why my phone disconnects from iTunes and doesn't connect until the extracting software is done and had error that cause your phone is not connected you can't update or restore
