Q: Instagram Zoom doesn't work on my iPhone

back up your iphone in your computer than factory reset your phone by pressing home button and sleep button at the same time till it tells you to connect to your itune, it will ask you whether to restore or update, press restore and then wait till it finish everything, don't disconnect the cable until its fully restored, now activate your phone and restore everything from the previous backup, your instagram pinch to zoom in will work after that.

Still not working after updates.  

JJ mine didn't either then I deleted, did a reset and reinstalled then it worked.  Thanks Ocean for the post worked like a charm.  I can see all those little photos in the collages now.  Woot!

Pressimy home/sleep button will not prompt a factory re set.

THere has to be something simpler than doing a whole factory reset just to get this one app to work.

JJ I didn't do the factory reset as Tibet suggested.  I deleted Instagram, pressed home/power till the Apple Logo came on, reinstalled Instagram v9.4 and it worked. 

Yes I did that same process a few times today and the zoom works when I first sign in and use it. When I go to use another app or close the app out it reverts back to not being able to zoom.

So frustrating.

Same here!  Did all steps, app works, but then I use a different app and back to square one.  Argh!

I have reported the issue through the Instagram app a few times. Not sure what else to do.

I have also tried to Internet search this issue and nothing else came up besides this forum.

If you go on instagram's official Instagram page and look for the zoom announcement post, you will see that many people are still complaining about not having this feature. Instagram should at least acknowledge  these issues.

OK guys, I have went through every possible way to search the solution and finally I found the solution, it's not the problem with the instagram app, it's with our insta account, try to login with others account, the zoom in works fine with other accounts but not with mine.. so hope it will help you guys

Do you know what it is about the accounts specifically that makes one person have it and not another? I don't want to start a new account I've had my Instagram for years.
