Can I delete Incompatible Software from my Imac OS X El Capitan?

I recently installed El Capitan and started getting a note to install Java JDK, I agreed, went to the page and installed what looks like Java 8. I still get the same popup about installing Java. Can anything be done.

Also, I noticed a folder called Incompatible Software, software that no longer works with my computer. Can I delete those as well as a Folder in Internet Plugins titled Disabled Plugins, can I delete the disabled plugins.

Please if anyone knows about any of the above I could use your help. I tried looking myself but didn't get anywhere or understand completely

You have some software installed that will only work with Apple's Legacy Java 6. You have two options.

  1. Remove the software that wants to use the old Java.
  2. Install the Legacy Java 6: Download Java for OS X 2015-001
