Apple Music iOS 10 - Full screen album art on ipad?

Hi,

On Ipad, does anyone know if there is a way to show the song/album art that is currently playing as 'full screen' like you could before iOS 10?

Now when you expand the 'now playing' tray, it slides up but only covers about 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen. I just don't see the point in this. It would be one thing if you could navigate around while this was expanded, but as soon as you select anywhere else, the 'now playing' tray collapses.

I hope I'm just missing something simple, but I don't think so.

I just updates my ipad mini-2 to IOS 10.2.

Now I have lost full screen cover art on the "NOW PLAYING" within the apple music app!

What gives?!

I use my ipad in a mount and it's nice to have full screen cover art available and a large screen utilized.

Apple please fix this, and give us a BLACK background option on the same window (the one we had until the update)

Thanks,

-Richard

To all those having the bug in which the album art maximizes and takes up the whole screen, have you found any fix?? It’s driving me crazy, I’ve restored my iPad, deleted the music app, done a hard reboot, and even updated to iOS 11, but nada. Apple, please fix this!

Btw, another music app bug I’ve found is that the “play less like this” and the “play more like this” function do not work when using the radio in ios 11. Please work on patching this. Thanks.

Sincerely, concerned customer

I'm SO sad they've changed this. Why?? What's the point of it taking up less than half the screen?? And on the right side too, so when I flip through my other apps I can't even see what's playing because it's covered by another app. I hate a lot of things they've changed with Apple Music but this one is probably the one I'm most upset about. It seems so stupid but I really miss it 😟

hi there!.

I'm having the same issue. It just happened suddenly, from one day to another. iPad Air 2 here (ios 10.0.2). And it's driving me nuts, because even when you minimize the player, it goes first to the lower left portion of the screen, and afterwards it appears over the lower right portion of the screen.

Also, when you multitask (no split screen), if you go to another app and come back to AM, it appears like a mess, everything not in place.

So I really think it's a bug. A nasty one thou. I think it would be nice having the full screen artwork option, but in larger screens the space could be used also in better ways.

Did you fix it somehow?

Thanks !

I totally feel you on this. I even asked my friends to help me figure this out. A friend of mine stumbled upon this thread and shared it to me. I hope it's INDEED JUST A BUG that they can fix soon with updates.

If they say it's simply how it was designed then F*** **! 'cause it's just painfully frustrating and ugly!

I love that they included lyrics but I just can't accept this.
