Q: Itunes won't play the next song without me hitting the next button

IT appears that after the update my iTunes songs are stuck on single song repeat. I have to manually hit next for it to play the next track. Any ideas on how I can fix that? Buttons that were previously there are now missing.

    Howdy aiwa1997,

I understand that iTunes seems to be stuck repeating the same song until you manually advance to the next track. In iTunes 12.5 the Repeat button appears at the top center of the iTunes window.

    • Repeat all songs in the current view (for example, a playlist): Click the Repeat button. Repeat is on when a gray box appears.
    • Repeat the currently playing song: Click the Repeat button until the number 1 appears.
    • Turn repeat off: Click the Repeat button until the gray box no longer appears.

Alternatively, you can access Repeat settings from the Controls menu > Repeat.

    Regards

I Don't see any controls in the top center. There is only an arrow pointing down that reveals the tracks on the playlist.

Thanks for responding back! In the interest of making sure that we're on the same page, could you provide us with the version of iTunes that you're currently running? You can find this information under the iTunes menu in About iTunes.

Additionally, we'd greatly appreciate a screenshot of the iTunes window if you wouldn't mind.

Take a screenshot of a window

    1. Press Command-Shift-4. The pointer changes to a crosshair pointer.
    2. Press the Space bar. The pointer changes to a camera pointer.
    3. Move the camera pointer over a window to highlight it.
    4. Click your mouse or trackpad. To cancel, press the Escape (esc) key before you click.
    5. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.
