Some setting on my phone appears to be automatically keeping "Digital Touch" messages sent by another user, and those sent by me. I just updated to iOS 10. I have a 6s phone. When a message is sent, I don't the the "Keep" option under it. It just keeps it automatically. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

Okay so I found the solution. Go to settings, messages and then under Audio Messages you have the option for when they expire. Such as two minutes to never, when 'never' is selected Digital Touch messages will save automatically :) turn it to 2 minutes and you will get the option to 'keep' digital touchs
I also am having the same issue. I believe it might have something to do with my apple computers being on El Capitan and the respected messaging app does not know how to handle a digital touch message. Can anyone confirm if they have iOS 10 and El Capitan? Do you have the option to keep the digital message instead of automatically saving?
Are you audio messages set to automatically keep? I don't have this issue, and you're right; there is no specific setting, but i thought that since the audio messages have the same keep/expire feature, that it may be coming from that setting.
HHave same problem. My phone works fine but girlfriends auto keeps the message. Don't understand why.

don't know if it's a bug , but did not find any specific setting for "keep"
just to clarify -voice messages have the option "keep"
BUT "Digital Touch" messages do not .

Im also having this problem. In the beginning it would actually save them in my messages and I could see them. Now they say saved and I can't find them. I haven't changed anything. It's annoying.
I notice this on our kids accounts. In both cases they have one iOS device on iOS 9 and one on iOS 10. Both devices being on and receiving the messages at the same time.
Same thing keeps happening to me and there doesn't look like there's a solution as of right now which is annoying
Hey there, I had this problem as well. To fix it, you need to go under Settings>Messages>Scroll down to "Audio Messages">Tap on "Expire" and change it to "2 minutes".

I accidentally find that the digital touch and audio message share the same keeping setting.
If we set to keep audio message for 2 minutes, digitally message will also be kept for 2 minuets
