which external monitor (27"-32") should I use with the Macbook Pro to exploit all its graphical capabilities?
[ Macbook Pro retina 15", medium 2015, intel i7 + 16 GB DDR3 + AMD Radeon R9 ]
I am currently using Apple Thunderbolt 27" but it seems rather underpowered...

Please define and quantify "underpowered..." and "all its graphical capabilities".
sorry...I mean that with 27" Thunderbolt display do not seem, to me, I take advantage of the potential of the 4K (3840x2160) resolution...
Thunderbolt 27" resolution (2560x1440) is lower than that of the Mac display (2880x1800)
...may be I'm missing something? :-)
to clarify ... I need to examine/edit photos (sometimes video) taken with 4k resolution reflex camera
