Q: Questions about Ipsw (9.3.5 13G36)

SO I was one of the unlucky souls that updated my iOS 10 then my iPhone 6s got bricked on this Connect to iTunes screen. I live in the Turks and Caicos Islands so there's not like an Apple Store I could go to for them to help me with this issue    So I asked a family member of mine to help me (he's a Apple fan hardcore) and we tried updating the phone through ITunes and every 15 mins there's error messages popping up then I have to keep going through the process of selecting uodate phone. My bad luck, my desktop stopped working over a month ago with my last restore on it so I had to use my uncle laptop that doesnt have any restore of my iPhone on it.

He downloaded a file from a site of the last update I had and updated my phone, it had the iTunes logo on its file, after the update it resetted my iPhone and erased my content... Like getting a whole new iPhone again...I was bummed out by it.

My phone is on and workinng but in my settings I saw 9.3.5 (13G36) I was wondering whats that?

then I found out it's a Ipsw like a type of firmware from what I understand

I'm just wondering if it's safe to be on a iPhone?

IF I update to the iOS 10 will it be removed from my phones  because it's a old update?

If I update the new iOS will my iPhone brick again because there's a file that's not exactly from Apple?

How would I know if the IPSW still in my phone after update? Or how to remove?

if I remove the IPSW file from my phone after the update will anything happen to the ios system?

I don't know much about this firmware    And I don't want anything to happen to my phone because it would be hard for me to carry it back to the US for it to be fixed.

I would like someone's help on this situation

if I posted in the wrong community I would like to apologize because this is my first time using this forum

thanks for taking the time to read ☺️
