Game Center App Missing on iPhone & iPad

Hello,

I downloaded the iOS 10 on my iphone 6+ and iPad Pro 9.7 and once completed, I noticed that the game center app is missing. The weird thing about it, is that I still get game challenges through that app.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do to restore it?

Thanks in advance.

While you're not likely to get it back you can submit feedback to Apple here:

Meanwhile, contact the developer of the game for assistance.

Yeah! If that is true you must be a "Someone" Special because even I gave Apple hundreds and hundreds of my money and purchase's but I have gotten nothing but lied to! Thats funny how you are told Smiley777 how to use it! ME I am told it is no longer around! I am sick at heart and in tears because apple and itunes have lied to me deceived me and taken my money and given me nothing but lies! And Decited. Just as itunes has charged me repeatedly for itunes for, their itunes, subscription! Who paids for the same subscription 3 times in a row on the same month? And thats what they have done for me! To where I have had to pay my back repeatly over and over to change my bank card. because of charges I never agreed to and then again today. because of iTunes triple charge's to my account and bank, for the same itunes subscriptions, so they charged $30.00 dallors for itunes instead of just $9.99 amonth, and this month they got away with ...But I just got off the phone with my back, and guess what? Itunes you may avoid talking with me but my bank keeps me will informed! And I will be getting the money back! And I will be canceling my apple id! Because I am tired of dealing with a lying Company! And people telling the Game Circle is no more when it is! You just told him how to use it. But with me it is no longer...hmmm? werid is it NOT??

It's a bit difficult to find the technical support question n that block of text. However, I'll give it a go. The Game Center app is gone. However, some of the features remain and are accessed through Settings>Game Center.

If you're having a problem with a purchase from the iTunes store, see this article:

Please keep in mind that this is a user-to-user forum. Ranting at people, especially the original poster, is not especially polite.

I did the update and lost the Apple app & Game Center on my iphone and did get it back but it was a mission. I had to reset my iPhone was scary I loose everything. So I made sure to backup, backup and crossed my fingers. And it worked after doing it twice. And recently did the "forced" update on my iPad and now gamecenter is gone. Can't add new friends to my sons Madden game. No where to do it, not even in settings. Tried to reset didn't work. Now what does anyone have any suggestion? This stinks when they force you to do the update. The updates take up SO much of my iPad storage. Thanks

The commenter obviously didn't finish her post, but it was really nice of you to act all superior and be sarcastic to shame the person, when s/he hadn't asked YOU anything, at all -- especially when it's pretty apparent that English isnt the commenter's first language.

I guess I can see it getting frustratrating, when one's ambition in life is to have a the highest score on Apple community threads, to have to read a question by someone that one one sees as already answered, considering its one's "job" to respond to every post, in racking up that score.

Do you tell everyone how cool you are, for having such a high score, here? They must be floored!

You man know what the poster was thinking. I don't presume to have any mind reading skills. Given that the issue that started this thread was that people thought the app was missing, explaining that it has intentional been moved is not sarcastic. It's a simple statement of fact.

Once again, you're making assumptions about someone's meaning and motivation based only on your own rather unpleasant world view. What I find very sad is people who go to all the trouble to sign up to these forums, not to provide help but rather to tear other people down.

Best of luck.

IdrisSeabrightis one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people on this forum. I have learned many, many things from IdrisSeabright. I really don't think that having a high score is a priority for him/her. The points follow and accumulate when you are helpful and solve people's problems for them. Obviously, many other people have found his/her advice very helpful or that "high score" would not be so high.

You need to learn some internet etiquette.

IdrisSeabright,

***

First off there are no settings to “access” Game Center through. All it has is a couple of options to turn it on/off, nothing else.

Plus I was in the middle of a game & an alert from Game Center popped up to tell me that I been awarded some achievement of some kind particular to the app/game that I was playing. You know, like how you get in PS 4 or Xbox, etc. So it IS doing SOMETHING, still. But if you wanted to view all your awards or achievements, then how would you go about it since there are no options to do so in the “settings” section for it on your iPhone/iPad?

Again it seems that parts of what the program is ARE still working. ***

Once you turn it on, you can then enable or disable Game Invites for Nearby Players. You can edit your nickname. You can Remove All Game Centers. And, you can change the Apple ID you use for Game center. That's more than being able to turn it on or off.

Where in the game you see awards would be determined by the developer of the game. Contact them for more information.
