I Hope that you don't upset but it's ******** in addition to your saying we must leave the iPhone and ditch it because we just can call with nokia 1100?????? and t iPhone doesn't useful anymore....im sorry for Apple for this silly rules.....مال بد بيخ ريشه صاحبش
So here's my problem. I visited Iran back in July and was able to access the app store and download Ark VPN for my iPhone without any problems except for slow internet.
I arrived again a couple of days ago for work purposes (with a new handset because the previous one had a problem with the display - same model) - and now I cannot connect to app store on my mac/iphone or iTunes to download anything. Based on previous experience I thought I'd download a VPN while here - now I'm stuck.
How was there support just 2 months ago but not now??
Apple does not do business in Iran at all. There is no iTunes store or app store servicing Iran. It would be a violation of copyright and licensing laws and regulations to allow people in Iran to download content from a store servicing another country.
Apple has no business presence in Iran at all. They do not sell iPhones in Iran nor do they support iPhones or iOS in Iran.
And the Iranian government itself has reportedly threatened to ban iPhones and their use anyway - https://www.cnet.com/news/iphone-faces-potential-ban-in-iran/
tha problem was solved because the government let some companies to sell iPhone in iran ** my question is why we can't is it harmful for american or we can make an atomic bomb with Apple apps this policy is simple and it tortious for iranian people not the government and it shows the appel company doesn't respect to iranian customers I just want to update my apps for a few weeks and i cant and isn't good for a company that it's slogan is customer
The government may allow them to be sold, but they are gray market devices. Apple does not do business in Iran. There is no app store or iTunes store servicing Iran.
There are no Iranian customers. It is not possible for anyone to purchase an iPhone in Iran from any legitimate source. If you buy an iPhone in Iran, you are being a used device or a gray market device that is being re-sold by an unauthorized distributor.
You can't legitimately have any apps to update at all..
It doesn't matter where the phone came from. If you are in Iran, you CAN NOT download any content from the iTunes Store or App Store because there is no such service in Iran.
The same goes for the rest of the world. Someone in the US can not download content from the UK store. Someone in Australia can not download content from the US store. You can only download content from the store serving your country. There is no such store serving Iran because Apple does not do business there.

No, the issue is exactly the same. While it may now be technically legal for Apple to do business in Iran, at this time at least they do not do so. Apple has no official corporate presence in Iran at all. They do not sell products nor support them in Iran. They have no online support nor any online store in Iran, and they do not distribute nor support the distribution of App Store or iTunes content in Iran.
Just because you can do so, and you chose to buy a black or gray market device does not mean the original manufacturer of that device is obligated to support you.
You chose to buy a device from a company that does not do business in your country. That was your decision and your choice to do so. Expecting a company that does not do business, at all, in your country to support devices in your country is irrational. If you wished to have support for any product, you should have purchased something from a company that actually does do business in Iran and offers support for their products sold in Iran.
As KiltedTim says, Apple never implemented a boycott in Iran. They have never done business in Iran, ever. The only iPhones that have ever been available in Iran have been gray or black market devices sold without Apple's knowledge or authorization. Apple has never sold iPhones in Iran, has never authorized any reseller to sell iPhones in Iran, and has never supported any of their products or services in Iran.
The US trade embargo on Iran was implemented in 1981. In 1981, Apple had only been incorporated for 4 years and was still a very small US-only company with only three active products at that time (Apple II+, III and III+). So they have never had any corporate presence in Iran at all.

Which App Store (I.e. What country settings is your store pointing to) were you using? It most certainly was not the Iran App Store because there is not and never has been any such thing. You were accessing another country's App Store, so, which one was it?
Most if the time you will find your native country's App Store unavailable or at least some content unavailable when accessing from a foreign IP or network. There are occasionally times when it may work that you can access your native store while abroad but there is no guarantee it will be possible or reliably so.
Regardless, since there is no Apple App Store native to Iran, the question is moot. Apple does not support products or services in Iran. So if an Apple product or service does not work there, Apple has nothing to explain, since they do not do business nor provide support in that country.
There was NOT "support" there 2 months ago. You got lucky, that's all. Many service providers, not just Apple, are cracking down harder to filter out traffic from Iran in an attempt to control illegal purchases of content that is not licensed for sale in Iran.
which app?
yes i have an Americans part number and it dosent let apple company to block my phone bec I live in iran is it dont happened that an iPhone customer with dif part number lives in another country????
YYour saying is correct but you just suppose that some body don't know it and buy it or just the older version of iPhone that iranian buy before the boycott what they must to do ????
Why iranian people can't download or update the app???
