Hi there, dmiranda2791! Thanks for using Apple Support Communities!
It appears that iTunes isn't working correctly on your Mac Pro. iTunes is a very important tool to use on both your Mac and any iOS devices. Let's get that working like it's supposed to.
1. Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac -- Before starting any troubleshooting, I always advise backing up to ensure your personal information is safe.
2. Update the software on your Mac -- Make sure that everything is up-to-date on your Mac.
3. Hold the shift key while opening iTunes. If it start up correctly, quit iTunes and re-open normally.
4. OS X El Capitan: Start up in safe mode -- Even though your Mac Pro starts up, safe mode makes sure it starts up correctly.
5. How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac -- This will help determine if the issue is located just in your user account or whether it's system-wide.
6. About OS X Recovery -- If iTunes wouldn't open in the new user you set up, restart your Mac in Recovery and reinstall OS X.

Take care!
