Q: Phone is disabled. Cannot remember passcode

I purchased this phone from a friend and do not know the passcode. Phone has been disabled. Says connect to itunes and reset phone. I've tried and it still will not connect to itunes.

I have tried all of this. Enters recovery mode with the picture of the iTunes logo and the charging chord.... then nothing. After a certain amount of time, goes right back to home screen saying Phone is disabled. Connect to iTunes.
