Bose Headphone buttons not working after iOS update

I have a pair of wired Bose headphones that i love and use every day but this morning while i was hiking i noticed that the buttons that control volume no longer work since i updated last night to the new iOS. Has this happened to anyone else?

Greetings, SilverBaer! Thanks for joining Apple Support Communities!
It appears that your Bose headphone's buttons have stopped working as they should when connected to your iPhone. I'll be glad to help.
If you need help with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch accessories -- This article is mainly for Apple accessories but those steps should still work with your Bose hadphones.

Take care!

My Bose FORS5s are working just fine.

The one headphone issue I am aware of (not Bose, but still a third party) was solved with a forced restart: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the restart.

This might be worth a try after yo go through the steps provided by joe's link.
