Reminders no longer sticking to lock screen in iOS 10

I have a daily reminder set to remind me to do something at the same time every day. In iOS 9, the reminder would stick to the lock screen until I marked it complete. This was good, because it made sure I got it done, even if it was a number of hours later. Now that I have upgraded to iOS 10, I've noticed that the reminder is dropping from the lock screen as soon as I unlock and it doesn't come back. Is there a setting I can change to make this change back to the old way?

Hi geektranzl8r,

It looks like your reminders are not staying visible on your display once it reminds you of your tasks after upgrading to IOS 10. This may be due to some settings that the upgrade might have changed to default. Try adjusting the Reminders notification settings. The links below can assist you with getting your Reminders app and Lock screen notifications setup just the way you like!

Use Notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Notifications on your Lock screen
In iOS 10, you can interact with notifications on the Lock screen to catch up on news, respond to messages, and more without unlocking your device.
Here are some ways you can view and interact with notifications from the Lock screen:
To view your lock screen, press the Home button or Sleep/Wake button. If you have an iPhone 6s or later, lift your device to see the Lock screen.
To respond to a notification, swipe left over it, then tap respond. If you have an iPhone 6s or later, use can use 3D Touch. Just press deeply on the notification, then respond.
To open the app to respond, swipe right over the notification.

Use Reminders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

These steps should do the trick. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities to post your question. Enjoy iOS 10.
Have a nice day.

I too have the same problem and this does not solve it. I have seen lockscreen notifications from other apps "push out" lockscreen notifications for reminders. Reminder notifications should stay on lockscreen until they are marked compIete. I have also found that reminder notifications will also disappear from notification center when they disappear from the lockscreen When this happens the only way to know you have an uncompleted reminder is to unlock phone and notice the number badge on the Reminders app. As others stated, this was working find in IOS9.

I have recently found that the problem is more than just reminder notifications disappearing from the lock screen. Sometimes reminder notifications don't appear at all. For example, I have a recurring reminder that is scheduled for 6pm every day. Today my phone (6 plus) had been locked from 4pm to about 6:25 pm. At 6:25 I pressed the power button to turn on the screen and the notification for my 6pm reminder was not on the lock screen. I unlocked my phone and noticed there was no count badge on the reminders app (meaning no overdue reminders). However, as soon as I opened the reminders app, that 6pm reminder instantly got marked in red as overdue. Other days the notification for that same reminder works perfectly. It's completely random (and not just on that particular reminder). Ugh. 😟

Again, throwing my voice into this discussion. I'm having the same issues with reminder notifications not coming up, or dismissing before I can act on them.

Currently, I have 2 Overdue reminders, yet the App Badge displays only a "1". I've already missed a couple appointments due to this, is extremely frustrating that a feature I could rely on is now completely unreliable.
