Q: Issue with command button active/inactive + Waacom Intuos 5 Touch

Just got a new macbook pro 2016 w/ new installed OS & Photoshop CC. I've also got a Waacom Intuos 5 Touch as my main pointing device that I've used fine w/out problem on an older macbook for a few years.

When I select a new window, the focus won't apply - I realized it's due to the command button being activated (even though it's not pushed). This happens pretty frequently and affects selecting files but also keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop and other programs. The only workaround I found is to press the space bar which somehow deactivates the command button and then it will work as expected for a while.

I think it's just with the Waacom and not w/ the touchpad but haven't used the touchpad enough to narrow it down.

I tried uninstalling Waacom drivers, updating w/ latest, and replacing the USB connectors for it but nothing seems to help. Anyone running into this problem as well w/ their Waacom? Just trying to figure out if it's a simple OS / driver issue or the waacom hardware.
