I plan to buy a MacBook Pro. What should I do Buy a mid2012 MBP (Update RAM & SSD Later) or go for 2015 MBP? Which is better in terms of Powerful, efficient as well as worth for money? I will mainly use it for web design and video edit. I don't like games.
The most obvious difference is that the current 2015 year models have retina displays, the 2012 does not. At the present time, the 2012 model can accept 2 TB storage SSDs, the 2015 models do not have that option, yet. As you know, video takes a lot of space and that may be important for you.

The 2015 model also uses an updated PCIe SSD with more bandwidth, so there is a significant performance boost over previous models by that alone (reportedly roughly twice the read/write throughout if previous models). So maybe your choice comes down to maximize internal storage, or go for performance and expand external storage with thunderbolt drives?
I'd totally go for the 2015 one. The screen really makes a difference between the two and as Michael says the SSD that the 2015 uses it's a PCIe one.

I would not buy a 2012 at this point in time.
Future proof your purchase with a 2015. I would max out the RAM and as much SSD as you need/afford.
