Hello petewaw,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know missing new features on your iPad is not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you are unable to see the Brilliance option in Light when editing a picture in the Photos app. Because this is not expected behavior, use these steps to help resolve this issue:

1. Restart your device to begin with as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iOS software running properly. Then test the issue with editing pictures again:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

2. If your issue is still not resolved after restarting, next would be making a backup of personal data and resetting some settings on your iPad. Now, don’t worry, this will not affect any of your content. All of your contacts, pictures, music, and other stuff are all safe. What it will do is reset your custom settings back to the factory defaults. So, background pictures, sounds, fingerprints and stuff like that will have to be set back up again. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Once your iPad restarts, then test the issue and see if the new Brilliance option is available now.

Cheers!

Thanks for that replying, that info helps! Next, use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iOS software to factory settings, as this process erases the information and settings on your device and installs a fresh copy of the latest iOS software. Then setup the iPad as new temporarily to test the issue and see if the Brilliance option is available when you tap Adjustments and Light section when you edit a photo.
