is ios 10 compatible with yosemite?

Basically, are there caveats to upgrading the iPhone to iOS 10 and running Yosemite on a MacBook? For example, will I have problems with Messages, Numbers, Pages, Mail, etc. I haven't enabled the special Notes features because Yosemite doesn't support them.

To preempt a question, I haven't updated to El Capitan yet because I want to do a clean install and that takes some careful planning. Thanks!

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), null

There is at least (1) incompatibility between iOS 10 and Yosemite; the "trust this computer" function on the iPhone does not handshake correctly. E.g. in order for Photos (or Preview, etc.) on the Mac side to access photos on your iPhone, iPad, etc., connected by USB, it will not correctly set the "Trust" prompt on your iPhone to remember it for the 2nd time the device is connected, forcing the need to "Rest Location & Privacy" each time before reconnecting your device to the Mac. This was not a problem, in my experience, when running iOS 9.3.5, This iOS10 issue seems to have been fixed in Sierra, however, I have not tried it yet in El Capitan.
