ios10 calendar widget not working

I have events but they don't show up in widget ... How to fix it ... ? I spend all day to read in google, but didn't find any solution. As well I read all this answers still not workout

I have this problem with iOS 10.3.2 on my iPad but not on my iPhone, both at the same iOS level. There is no three bar icon in the calendar app in 10.3.2, so the suggestion that was viewed as most helpful doesn't work for me. Also, contrary to the experience of others, when I press the empty box for the calendar widget, it goes to whichever day (or week) the calendar app was open to last, not to the next event in the calendar. The fact that it works in my iPhone and not in my iPad suggests to me that the fix did not get ported to the iPad platform.

i have something similar happening in the upnext one. events don't clear until the next day.

will turning on icloud for calendar help resolve this.

I'm seeing something similar, but my up next seems to be working fine.

If I open the calendar app, the calendar widget updates. But after about 5 minutes, the widget goes blank again. Kinda defeats the purpose of a widget if you need to open the calendar to make the widget update 🙂.

Hello Paragraff22, and welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If I was in your position, I would make sure that I am signed into iCloud on my iPhone. If you are signed in and it still doesn't work, you may want to reboot your iPhone. Also, make sure that you can see your calendar events in the calendar app. If you don't see them you can turn them on by: opening calendar ---> tap on the calendars (which can be found in the middle of the bottom.) ---> there you can disable and enable calendars that appear on your iPhone. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, neither of these solutions worked for me. Opened calendar, rebooted, confirmed icloud sign-in. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Same problem here. Suggested solutions don't work

There is a bug in the iOS 10 Calendar Widget. If you change the calendar app view to agenda (select the three line icon on the top of your calendar app screen, then the widget will start to work). Bug reports have been filed, but this is still an issue in the latest 10.1 beta.

Having the same issue (iPhone 7, iOS 10.1.1) with app in agenda view. Calendar Up Next widget issue seems to have been corrected in 10.1.1, but Calendar widget still does not always display calendar events (are blank in widget). If you touch blank line in widget, it takes you correctly to event in Calendar app. Seems like issue occurs when widget refreshes when you swipe to view widgets from lock screen. Older calendar events appear briefly, but are replaced by blank lines when widget refreshes.

This is the widget I use most often, so hope Apple fixes this soon.
