Q: Can your Apple Watch be paired without resetting it after a iPhone reset

Did a factory reset on an iPhone 6s yesterday and  restored my phone from my last iPhone cloud back up.

I want to pair my Apple Watch  but I am afraid to reset it.  I am reading that the watch automatically backs up with an iCloud back up, so is it safe to reset my Apple Watch and pair it as a new device?

Having factory reset your iPhone, you will need to erase your watch it in order to pair it with your iPhone again.

    • On your watch, go to: Home screen (via a single press on the Digital Crown) > Settings (cog icon) > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings.

Then re-pair it to your iPhone via the standard set up process, choosing to Restore from Backup if offered the option:
