arabic text typing problem

I have a problem typing the shadda and kasrah in arabic keyboard

The shadda marking needs, in fully vowelled text, to be accompanied by a fatha or kasra. However, when one does this, the second marking appears on top of the first - making both illegible...

Please help if this can be resolved

What app are you doing this in? Does it happen in TextEdit and Pages?

What font are you using? Does it happen with the font Geeza Pro?

I have learned my "something new every day" = thank you, Sir!

I am fairly educated on Fonts (English of course) and am puzzled how ANY character can "overlap" another by glitch

I get "on purpose" with negative kerning.

3/5 as a "fraction" is negatively kerned like this

User uploaded file

this, and characters like it, are actual 'characters' = Æ =

Is Arabic making characters 'on the fly' depending on usage in a string?

All this is can be ignored if I am interrupting "class"

😉

ÇÇÇ

EPIPHANY!!

"kerning TABLES"

still on my first cuppa coffee

Yes. In this case you are adding two “combining diacritics” to a base character. When the three elements are input, the font should display a glyph where they are all placed correctly, but some may not, either because of bugs in the font or because it was intended for a different OS where the mechanisms for doing it are different.
