Earphone are not responding after upgrade to iOS 10

I have upgraded my iPhone 6s to iOS version 10 today and realised that my earphones are not responding now .
Please let me know how to fix this problem

What do you mean your earphones are not responding? What earphones, how are they not responding, what are you trying to do, and finally, what troubleshooting have you tried?
I am trying to play music , the song is playing well but no sound output .
Let me know if you need any more information .

I am using the apple Earpods , one which i got with the iPhone.I have tried using them on my laptop and they are responding well,confirming that it's not the hardware issue rather it looks more of an upgrade issue.

I'm sorry, but I will not be sharing anything. I'm a volunteer user here. Make sure that your headphones are seated correctly on the phone. I've used mine, so I know that it has nothing to do with the iOS update.
When you press the volume control buttons on the side of the phone, what appears on the screen? Does it show headphones in the volume box? Try removing the headphones and inserting them again, maybe a couple of times to ensure they are fully seated.
I did a reset of my settings and its working now.Thanks for your time.
