Q: Where have all my lyrics gone?

All the lyrics I have painstakingly entered seem to have disappeared on my devices with my upgrade to iOS10, except for one song where they display in mishmash of moonmush mode.

    I have the same problem... I have added tons of lyrics on my iTunes for years, and now Apple Music will not show you ANY custom lyrics (or manually added lyrics) - even worst, it is not allowing SoundHound to also display the lyrics.

     

    Currently I am looking for an alternative to listen to my own library on my iPhone, otherwise if I cannot find a good alternative, it would be the first time, I will have to go back to Sony Xperia (which was a descent phone with an excellent camera)... Every update the Apple Music gets worst.

    Had this problem and called apple help and the said delete all the songs from the Iphone then reload them and it worked perfectly after that.

    I'm assuming you mean reload them from my desktop version of iTunes. I'll give it a try. At any rate, thanks for your response.

    I deleted one song that I had put custom lyrics into the Get Info card for that song, synced with my PC desktop iTunes, and I did get lyrics to show; however, there was no formatting - just line after line separated by <br> marks followed by more lyrics to the next <br> etc.  I'm pretty sure the <br> indicates where I had hit ENTER.  Though getting any lyrics to show is some kind of improvement, the end result is still unsatisfactory.  I'll continue to tinker around with the issue to see if anything produces a more acceptable result.

    But this seems to not work on all the situations... I have removed songs many times from iPhone and yet some continue not to show the custom lyrics I added... Worst part is when you try to use SoundHound to display the lyrics, and it present a message that Apple does not allow them to show the lyrics anymore when you are playing the song directly from your device. It will only shows the lyrics when the song is from an external device... What's happening with Apple?
