News notifications buttons not working iOS 10

Since updating to iOS 10, I notice that I can have a notification for a News article (from the Apple News app), and when I "Force Touch" the article, the summary pops up with three buttons below: Read, Save, Share."

However, "clicking" these buttons does...nothing. Nothing happens at all.

If I do the same in the News app, the "context menu" buttons there work fine.

Notifications from others apps that feature this functionality work fine.

Just notifications of news articles do not work.
