Oct 5, 2016 8:42 PM in response to antmeyerxby Audioguy79,Here's a kicker> The 256g gb iPhone 7 is the first device that lets me retire my almost decade old iPod classic 160gb. So needless to say I was excited. I too am missing artwork. However 25% of my library, 5025 songs and 366 albums are missing album artwork. The fact it syncs to my iPod (well I did on last os and iTunes version, I haven't tried yet with this version) makes me wonder what is so hard to fix. I am running OS10.12 IOS 10.0.2 and iTunes 12.0.158. 100% of my music was ripped at apple lossless format from CDs. 0 downloaded.
I can't find any correlation between what syncs and what does not. Some artwork was from local bands that I had to search out and input manually and they synced fine, others are album artwork I got from iTunes. Honestly if there is no fix at the present moment, I wish apple would just come out and say "hey we hear you, and it will be addressed on our next update."
But I am all ears if someone fines a work around. I have spent 10 years inserting CD ,rip, eject, repeat, then making sure album artwork is there, then making sure every song has the same artwork. If my 9 year old iPod classic can do it why is this such an issue with the most technically advanced apple product to date and from the looks of it a recurring issue.
Edit I just saw the possible fix and going to give it a go, sorry when I pulled this thread up on my new iPhone it was one page and I couldn't reply (maybe another issue to look at). anyways we will see if this works from 100% ripped music. I will keep you posted.

Oct 6, 2016 2:45 AM in response to Audioguy79by Tony smeT,To be honest, i'm not going to cash out 1000 Eur for a 256gb iPhone. I invested in this thing: https://www.iflash.xyz/store/iflash-quad/
Works flawless, and I am now the proud owner of a 600gb (3x 200gb so still room to add 200gb more) iPod classic!
I bought a Chinese thing called Fiio X5II. The sound is very very good but although it's 8 years younger than the iPod classic the GUI is a total fail, the battery lasts only 9h, and if you add 1 song it takes minutes to rescan the complete library. So now that I had the guts to open up my iPod I'm happily returning the Fiio... -
