My iphone 5s has a problem of applications crashing.The same issue continued after repair also and in my next visit to apple store they said that the phone will be replaced.I just want know that whether the replaced phone is brand new or refurbished? .i bought it 9months ago.

Only Apple knows if the devices are new or have been refurbished. Some users even prefer to get a refurbished unit, because Apple techs replaced all "used" parts like buttons, battery, screen etc. with brand new ones and examined the phone again after that, to make sure it meets the standards.
I had to get two devices replaced in the past and I could not tell the difference between factory new or refurbished, both are still working without any issues.
