Q: Camera Problema with iOS 10

i have been having a problem with my Camera since I downloaded the new iOS 10. When I open the camera app the screen/image is extremely dark. A very dark blurry image shows but the screen is almost completely black.  It will be like this until I hard reset the phone. It's very odd.

    Hi there, Buck65!

It appears that your iPhone 6s on iOS 10 is experiencing some problem with either the Camera app or hardware. I'll be glad to help you figure out which it is. Remember to test your camera after every troubleshooting step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Whenever I start troubleshooting, I always advised backing up your device. It's better to "have" a backup than to "need" a backup.

    1. Reset iPhone settings -- On your phone go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will return your iPhone's settings to their default settings.

If you didn't back up your phone from the start, now would be a highly advisable time to do so. You'll be erasing your phone so I want to be certain your personal information is safe.

    2. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings -- You'll need to use iTunes on a Mac or PC to completely erase your iPhone. Using the Settings on your iPhone only removes your personal information.

First time through, select "Set up as new iPhone", but you can skip logging into iTunes & App Store and iCloud right now. Test your camera and if you're able to view a clear image, continue to the next step.

    3. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- Follow the steps in this article to replace your personal information on your phone.

    Hello!

I have the same problem with Iphone SE camera. When I launch camera I can see only a black screen... I find out that, when I swipe to video and then back to normal photo it will work ok. But it is so annoying that you can't take picture right away. Is there some bug in IOS10? I have tried troubleshooting you said before but still the same problem Is there anything i can do or just waiting some new update with new bugs...

I followed these steps, but eventually, the problem will happen again. I know there is nothing physically wrong with my camera because it doesn't  happen All the time. When I try taking pictures the screen is very very dark almost black. I can switch to video while this is happening and the video is nice and clear. It's only when it's on camera mode

Hey Buck65. Glad to hear it's working now. If the issue happens again, you can always have your iPhone 6s evaluated. Here's the information so you can do so.

Apple - Find Locations -- Use this link to locate the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Apple - Support - Product Selection -- Call or chat with an Advisor to learn of other options you may have.

    Take care!
