Q: Cannot find my car with maps in iOS 10

Although I switched on the option to show my parked location there is no pin for my parked car in Apple maps or in the notification screen (maps destinations).

I use an iPhone 5S with iOS 10.0.1 and connect the phone to my car via Bluetooth (not Aplle Car Play).

I switched off the option and on again and I restarted the iPhone.

Greetings, Walter Goodfellow, and thanks for using Apple Support Communities!

It appears that your iPhone 5s on iOS 10 isn't allowing you to enjoy the new feature, "Find your car".  I'll be more than glad to help with this. Remember to test "Find your car" after every troubleshooting step.

    1. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- I highly recommend making a fresh backup of your iPhone to be sure your personal information is safe.

    2. Reset iPhone settings -- On your phone go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This will return your iPhone's settings to their default settings.

    3. Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings -- You'll need to use iTunes on a Mac or PC to completely erase your iPhone. Using the Settings on your iPhone only removes your personal information.

First time through, select "Set up as new iPhone", and log into iTunes & App Store and iCloud right now. Test "Find my car" again. If it's working continue with the last step.

    4. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup -- Follow the steps in this article to replace your personal information on your phone.

    Have a great weekend!

make sure in the maps settings where it is says "Your car" make sure its on  and also for "location services" that maps is on "while using" then after that go to...

Settings-->Privacy-->Location Services-->System Services-->Frequent Locations... make sure its on then go back to maps it might ask you to improve maps or whatever accept it then try the Bluetooth again... don't rely on apple because all they gonna tell you for the smallest little thing is to restore your phone this is why I don't bother calling them because for them restoring the phone is usually what they tell you without troubleshooting the steps as I told you...  I just fixed my phone like by reading on another site and it worked at least on the iPhone 6S Plus

Thanks for your advice but this is all I've done before. For me it seems that the iPhone 5s is not fully supported. Because it does work on the 6s of my wife without any settings different to mine.

Building up the iPhone 5s from scratch only to test this feature is no option - I agree with you. It's not the killer feature I'm going to waste a whole day.
