I have the same problem too! On top of that, I am able to listen to my local music library for about 10 minutes at a time, then I tunes just closes itself with no notification or error. ðŸ˜

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right-click the downloaded installer and use run as administrator.
Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with third party software.
Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Nope, that did not work, now it is even more broken than before.
Rolling back to my last restore point.
Going to install the previous version and see if that works.
unfortunately it didn't work for me, I accidently hit the solved button but im still needing help
What error message or symptom do get now? Have you tried the full process set out in the second box of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates? Pay attention to the notes below the box. After removing iTunes delete any shortcuts to iTunes from the start menu, desktop and task bar. Reboot before reinstalling, temporarily disable any anti-virus software, and use the right-click > run as administrator option on the downloaded installer.

See Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support.
Will iTunes open if you right-click and use run as administrator?
Will it run in iTunes' own safe mode? (Hold down ctrl+shift as you launch it.)
Will it open in a different user profile?

Had the same error myself and spent two hours online with the Apple tech support in Ireland who had never seen this before and has passed up the chain to Cuppertino.
All the above suggestions were tested and many more such as drivers replaced, new libraries and new usernames also tested. The conclusion in the end was that the problem lay within the actual installation of iTunes my PC (Windows 7) which has been corrupted. Sadly no work around has been suggested to date. However, whilst repeatable, other PC's with same operating systems are okay ...
Interestingly whilst I can crash iTunes itself, it will synchonise an iPhone (6s) but crashes with an iPad Pro ...
Hmm, odd that it only crashes with one device. Assuming a 64-bit system have you tried the "for older video cards" version yet? The support document where this is normally downloaded from still lists the previous build, however you can get it from the Further information section of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates which I try to update after each release.

Tried that just now ... sadly it wont install, it got as far as 'starting services' then stopped and rolled back ... Put 12.5.1 on again afterwards, but no joy.
Doesn't seem to be the most stable version. I've got one machine that crashes on accessing the store and so far none of my usual tricks have resolved that one either. 😟

Agreed ... I have been working with Apple products since 1984 and it is the first time I have ever had to contact their service techs!
I Have tried everything without any luck, and the second problem is that since I installed windows 10 on my second laptop I have been unable to install itunes on it so I decided to do a complete, tee wipe of that laptop and re-install windows 10 then installed iTunes again and thankfully this time it worked, now I just have to do the tedious task of putting all my music on that laptop and then on to my phone.
