Do pros use garageband?

I have just started using Garageband and I am an absolute novice. But just wanted to try and make some music. I just want to know, do professionals use garage band?

Because when I am creating a beat I can't help thinking that surely professionals don't just pick a sounds from the virtual instruments to use in their song. Wouldn't they make all their own sounds somehow?

Thanks

GarageBand (Mac) '11, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Apple's professional software is LogicPro X. While in GarageBand it is easy to get started with many rady made templates, Logic Pro X will give you more control over your recordings and the software instruments. It is also much better at editing recorded tracks and creating sheet music from the midi tracks.

I once heard that GarageBand is very popular in Nashville with all the country music pros.

About the question what Pro's use. Don't get too obsessed with that. They use whatever they feel like or get the job done.

Here is an example. Go to your Apple Loops Browser and search for "vintage funk kit 03" and listen to it at its original tempo 90bpm. Does that sound familiar? Exactly, Rhianna's "Umbrella" song that sold about a gazillian copies. So maybe it was recorded in GarageBand, or Logic, or it is a coincident.

Hope that helps
