Q: [ios10] Sync problems with outlook.com

I got two problems after updating to ios10 which weren't there with iOS 9. Anyone an idea how to fix it or do I need to wait till apple "fix" it ?

Updated my iphone 6 to iOS 10.0.1 and did a factory reset after it.

Problem 1:

Now after connecting the outlook.com account, after 2-4 hours mails are no longer syncing. If I click on the mail app, an alert box appear to reconnect the app by retyping the password again. After that, it will work for 2-4 hours again and then same problems appears again.

Problem 2:

Syncing the contacts with ios 10 from a MS Live Account is a bad idea, because all birthdays are postponed a day into future.

Any Idea how to fix it? Changing the birth date to the correct day isn't working. It is showing the updated correct birthday for a few hours and it looks like it is again postponed after next contact sync... In Microsofts online Systems all birthdays are shown correctly.

iPhone 6, iOS 10, null

to Problem 1: Sam by me (IPhone 6).

    IPad works fine.

    Solution:

Create the Email Account as "Exchange" not as "Outlook.com".

    Works fine.

I Have this same problem, every 5mins I have re-entire my .live account password. For me it seems the problem is somehow related to the wifi issue. Phone shows that it is connected to the wifi on the bar at the top of the screen, but if you go into Settings>wifi it shows the device isn't connected. Connect to wifi and it seems to stop asking for the password. That is until I leave the hotspot and return later or go to an area where I have another wifi spot saved on my phone. iOS 10.0.2 i6
