IOS 10 Home Page unlock Iphone 5S

I have just upgraded my Iphone 5S to IOS 10. I do not like having to press the home key every time to get to my keypad to unlock the phone. Is there any way I can disable this feature and have it as it was before where you just pressed the home key and the keypad appears? Also, am I right thinking that "raise to wake" does not work on Iphone 5S? If it does, can someone please tell me how to do it. Also, is there any way I can get rid of the list of Widgets that appear when you swipe the screen and see the edit key? All I want to do is unlock my phone quickly as I did before. Thanks

You are correct in that raise to wake requires an iPhone 6s or higher (including the SE). It does not work on the 5s.

You can revert the home button to its previous behavior by doing to Settings>General>Accessibility>Home Button and turning on "Rest Finger to Open.

With the iPhone 5s, you use the Touch ID, no need to key in the passcode.

iPhone 5s & 6 do not have raise to Wake, the option is in iPhone 6s or later.

You can delete the widgets by scrolling down and tap the Edit button.

Thanks for your prompt response. However when I look at Settings/General/Accessibility/Home Button, I only have the option to change the Click Speed and don't have "Rest Finger to Open". Any suggestions?

Thanks for your reply. I don't think I have a Touch ID on my Iphone 5s? Also I have not added any Widgets, I just keep getting the Edit key and a list every time I go to unlock my phone. Any suggestions? Thanks

Set up Touch ID. If you don't have the option to do so, then you don't have a 5s, you have a 5. As for the widgets, I'm not sure what to tell you... what happens when you tap 'edit' and try to add some?

Yes you could be right about the 5 not the 5S? I can add Widgets and then can delete them but I don't want any and I don't want to see the list of Widgets every time. Doesn't look like there's anything I can do about these IOS 10 irritants! Thanks anyway.

Do you have Touch ID set up? I don't believe it will appear if you don't.
