Sep 19, 2016 10:07 PM in response to Aukeby ado543,★HelpfulI have a similar but slightly different issue on my iPhone 7. Every time I close an app, the animation lags badly and it's annoying. All other animations, including the app opening animation, are fine. I originally restored from a backup, but I tried restoring to normal factory settings, and it made no difference. My iPhone 5 has no lag issues when opening and closing apps in iOS 10.

Sep 16, 2016 9:26 PM in response to Aukeby lars06,I have the same issue! But it only seems to be lagging when I close an app or enter multitasking. It is actually ruining my phone experience. My iPhone 6 had no issue whatsoever with iOS 10.0.1. I feel like I've upgraded to a slower phone.

Sep 16, 2016 9:45 PM in response to Aukeby jmonfire,Same issue here. my 6s was really snappy on 10.0.1 - even faster than ios 9
Im thinking its to do with the taptic engine? I think it can be resolved with software update

Sep 16, 2016 10:42 PM in response to jmonfireby Stephen Dawson1,And here. When you press the home button to go from an app to the home screen, the "shrinking" animation stutters towards the start. Sometimes, when doing this from the Mail app when the mail has some graphics in it, the stutter is worse, and you get to see the graphic at a weird angle for a fraction of a second.
I think we should all hit https://www.apple.com/feedback/.

Sep 16, 2016 11:52 PM in response to Stephen Dawson1by Auke ,Talked again with supported, they told me to replace my phone at where i bought it. That would not be possible because the low amount of iPhone 7 available, i really think it isnt hardware related, just a glitch in the software... I hope...

Sep 17, 2016 6:08 AM in response to Aukeby Milten,I Noticed a similar behavior with my iPhone 7. When I close an App immediatly after opening, the app close animation is super smooth. But when I use an app longer the app close animation is lagging.
I also run iOS10 on an iPhone 6, iPhone SE and iPad Air 2 but there is everything buttery smooth.

Sep 17, 2016 7:59 AM in response to Aukeby ado543,I also had a look at the iPhone 7 display units at my local Apple Store and they all have the same issue. I'm sure it'll be fixed in a software update.

Sep 17, 2016 4:19 PM in response to Ckianooshby Stephen Dawson1,My wife has a new 7 as well as me. The lag doesn't seem to be there on hers, at least, if there is one it's much less noticeable. Putting the 2 phones side by side, and both in the same app, like Safari, simultaneously pressing the home button on both results in hers getting to the home screen much quicker than mine. Both 128GB models, hers rose gold, mine black. Hope we're not looking at a hardware problem with some batches here! Also wondering whether it's using the lower power processors in these new phones when it shouldn't be for some reason.
