Sep 20, 2016 1:45 AM in response to Aukeby aaron Duan,Sure! I will post any updates I receive from apple! BTW, have you watched the speed test video on youtube for iphone 7? I feel most of them do not shown obvious delays or lags.

Sep 20, 2016 2:32 AM in response to Aukeby Manuel Manev,Every time Apple roll out a new product is pretty much crap, it needs some time until they get it steam rolling, so I guess patience is a virtue here

Sep 20, 2016 2:39 AM in response to aaron Duanby jmonfire,I have zero worries about this as I am very certain this will be fixed by software update. Everyone who's posted here would agree the stutter is not apparent 'every' single time you press the home button - it's there more often than not but it's inconsistent phenomenon. Mechanically speaking, if this was a hardware issue associated with taptical engine, the stutter should be there 'every' single time you press it.
I have no further worries on this issue whatsoever. Just wait for 10.0.2 or at the latest 10.0.3

Sep 20, 2016 3:50 AM in response to jmonfireby ado543,My phone stutters every time I close an app, but not every time I press the home button.

Sep 20, 2016 4:11 AM in response to ado543by jmonfire,Is the lag still there when you reopen that particular same app straight after and close it again?

Sep 20, 2016 6:00 AM in response to jmonfireby agro10,Nop, not in that case.
I also have an issue with iMessage : from time to time, when I go to this app, the search field is just blank, so I have a empty space between the top section (where "modify", "messages" and "new" field are) and the first message of the list.
Weird. Doesn't happen every time, though ...

Sep 21, 2016 5:18 AM in response to Aukeby drtashique,Yup getting the exact same problem. Its almost always when opening an application or the first few seconds of running it, usually during an animation. Started a conversation with apple support in twitter, never got back to me :/ I am assuming its an OS issue. Hopefully there would be an update soon. (iPhone 7, 256GB)

Sep 21, 2016 5:29 AM in response to Aukeby iphone4love,I had an online conversation with Apple support on Monday about this, and they said it will be fixed in an update soon. I quote 'We will have a resolution for this issue. I apologise that i don't have an exact date for you when the software will be available..'.
She suggested people log it with the developers/engineers, which I for one have already done.
Point to note - when you arrive at the home screen from the lock screen, the animation is buttery smooth. I have mine set so I don't have to physically press the home button though, bypassing the haptic feedback, so like someone already said, this is likely related. To prove this switch on 'rest finger to open' in accessibility.

Sep 21, 2016 7:40 AM in response to Aukeby VZiNe,Same problem here (iPhone 7 bought in France). BTW i have noticed these lags issues in 3D gaming too... very annoying for a such powerful phone. My 6S (on iOS 9) worked better ! Hope next iOS update will fix that for real... Maybe that is related to Core switching and how the system deals with it (from low power to high power cores)...
