5s microphone on video not working for front facing facing

I have an iPhone 5S. I recently upgraded to ios 9.3.5

When in camera mode taking a video the microphone does not work when the camera is facing forward.

When I switch the camera for selfie mode the microphone works.

When using Snapchat the microphone works forward facing and selfie facing

I have turned off and on the phone

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1
