Such errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. WebKit.dll is part of Apple Application Support and can normally be found in

    • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support or
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

where the name of the Program Files folder may vary by region.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Unfortunately this did not correct the issue

after uninstalling all Apple programs and verifying the directories were indeed gone, I reinstalled iTunes with the same results.

Other options are to try the "for older video cards" version if you have a 64-bit system, or roll back to the last build that worked for you.

    All not working.

How does the update to IOS10 work with an older Itunes version??

This is ridiculous. Something like that should work seamlessly.

Iam sitting on this since hours now.

    Best regards

I have had my iPhone 6+ running iOS 10.0.1 connected to iTunes 12.1.3.6 (the last to support XP & Vista). Backup and data transfer seems to be OK. Restoring or upgrading to iOS 10 seems to require 12.5.1 as a minimum.

See the Further information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for advice on rolling back to an earlier build.

I installed 12.4.3.1 again and everything is working.

You guys fix ITunes properly and let me know.

I believe the upgrade to IOS10 has to wait until you are able to give me a version and installs seamlessly.

    Thanks
