Issues with Booting -coma?- PowerBook G4 17"

Hello,

Any informative you provide would be greatly appreciated!

Heres what I got going for me.

Computer Type:

PowerBook G4

Size:

17"

Processor:

PowerPC - 1.67 GHz

Year Purchased:

2005

=================================================

Issue:

Will not boot.


What happens:

  • I press the power button to boot-up the machine.
  • The fan turns on.
  • The CD-ROM drive makes its usual noises.
  • The white light -- located on the latch button -- illuminates.
  • There is no "You're a superior being" welcome Awe/Chime/Gong sound.
  • The the screen flickers a single flash of white display light.
  • When I close the lid -- While the machine is still turned on -- the white light on the latch button which is located in the front, stays solid rather than slowly fading in and out.
  • The screen shows no sign of life.
