Q: Issues with Booting -coma?- PowerBook G4 17"

Any informative you provide would be greatly appreciated!

Heres what I got going for me.

     PowerBook G4

Size:

     17"

Processor:

     PowerPC - 1.67 GHz

Year Purchased:

     2005

Issue:

     Will not boot.

What happens:

1. I press the power button to boot-up the machine.
2. The fan turns on.
3. The CD-ROM drive makes its usual noises.
4. The white light -- located on the latch button -- illuminates.
5. There is no "You're a superior being" welcome Awe/Chime/Gong sound.
6. The the screen flickers a single flash of white display light.
7. When I close the lid -- While the machine is still turned on -- the white light on the latch button which is located in the front, stays solid rather than slowly fading in and out.
8. The screen shows no sign of life.
