Any one figure out how to "trash all" in mail on IOS10?

Seems the delete/trash/archive is now greyed out on my mail app. What was once so elegantly smooth controlling a inbox now become a huge hassle as it once was before - to delete every message one at a time. Nothing I did playing with the app has resulting in this ability that was on IOS9. A lot of bells and whistles in IOS10, but removing a vital functionality like this was not courageous.
