I have no way of contacting the owner how could i remove the lock?
I have two devices that are like this and i have no way of contacting the original owners.
iPad Air, iOS 9.3.5
In that case the devices are useless to you.

Without the original owners apple id and password it is not possible to remove the lock from findmyiphone.
Unless they're locked to your Apple ID, you won't be able to remove the lock, but might be able to get a refund.
