Congrats on your new iPhone 7 purchase! Running iOS 10!!? You have an awesome device there! So I understand that you are having difficulties getting the Magnifier working on your device. In iOS 10, you will need to first enable this feature. Please follow the steps below to get it up and running asap.Magnifier
Use Magnifier to magnify objects near you.
Set up Magnifier. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Magnifier, then turn on Magnifier. This adds Magnifier to Accessibility Shortcut.
Start Magnifier. Triple-click the Home button. If you have multiple accessibility shortcuts, tap Magnifier.
Adjust the magnification level. Drag the Zoom Level slider.
Add more light. Tap the Flashlight button to turn the flashlight on or off.
Lock the focus. Tap the Focus Lock button. Tap again to unlock the focus.
Freeze the frame. Tap the Freeze Frame button. To adjust the magnification, drag the Zoom Level slider. o save the image, touch and hold the image, then tap Save Image. To unfreeze the frame, tap the Freeze Frame button again.
Apply color filters. Tap the Filters button. Tap the different color filters to preview their effects. To adjust the brightness and contrast, drag the sliders. To invert the colors, tap the Invert Filters button. To apply the selected filter and return to Magnifier screen, tap the Filters button again.
Turn off Magnifier. Click the Home button.

Sep 17, 2016 9:02 AM in response to needleman_markby needleman_mark,II've turned Magnifier on in the Acessivility shortcut. My problem is tripple taps on the new home button doesn't bring the magnifier on. I has iOS 10 running on my 6s plus for a few days before I got the 7 plus and it worked fine with the old clickable home button

Sep 17, 2016 10:03 AM in response to needleman_markby alex_h1,I understand, so the home button when pressed 3 times is not activating the Magnifier. If the home button other than triple tapping the home button is functioning as expected. Try a simple restart of your device. Once powered back on, please be sure that the clicks are in rapid succession. Also, try turning off then back on the magnifier within the Accessibility settings then turn it back on and try once more.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
This should do the trick! Take care -
Sep 17, 2016 10:49 AM in response to needleman_markby needleman_mark,i wasn't able to reboot the phone because holding the home and start buttons at the same time didn't work (is there a new method for doing a reboot with the 7 series?) - however turning magnifier off peering the phone down and back on and then turning magnifier back on seems to have fixed it
one last question - are you supposed to get some haptic feedback when you press the home button (for any reason) because that is not happening on my iPhone

Sep 17, 2016 11:30 AM in response to alex_h1by needleman_mark,i figured out the new reboot way on the iPhone 7 (sleep/wake + volume down) - it seems google can find anything
I also just talked to Apple support - the phone is supposed to vibrate when you press the new home button - mine is not doing it - we tried turning system haptic off rebooting and turning it back on - didn't work but they don't have any replacement phones they could send me right now so we decided its not a major problem and if i want a replacement i can call back in a month or so when there is more supply available
